I’m in the process of making my annual Christmas CD for friends and family. Last year, I did an entire cd only of female artists. This year the collection is heavily acoustic, mixing coffeehouse jazz & folk, classical, pop, & country. Want a taste? Then here:

There is one tune not on here – it’s the version of “Oh Holy Night” played by the Tiptina Musicians on last year’s Studio 60
A very nice compilation of tunes. I actually listened to a few of these (despite the #4 “thing about me” in the meme you tagged me for, which I finally got around to doing). The California Guitar Trio is lovely, and might make me change my mind about Christmas music :)
Great collection! I last made a Christmas compilation a couple of years ago, and have been thinking of doing another this year. Just thinking of that version of Oh Holy Night from Studio 60 last year gives me goosebumps; I can still see and hear it in my mind.
A lovely song list indeed. I guess since a great deal of my time has been working in the retail industry, I am not all holly jolly for holidays tunes…however I am quite found of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and of course the soundtrack to the Haunted Mansion Holiday with the oh so creey Scarols…hehe
Uh that is “holiday tunes” and “creepy” Scarols or Scaroles…I am not sure which is right…haha
I highly recommend an album called “Christmas” by Bruce Cockburn. It’s exceeding good, with some obscure Xmas tunes.
nice compilation of christmas song.
hey ur missing mariah carey’s ‘all i want for x-mas’ song. and britney spears’ santa baby ^_^
